Role and Responsibilities of a Social Worker within the Intake and Assessment Team:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 20-22 cases, with adjustments based on complexity
- Conduct a variety of assessments and section 487 enquiries
- Determine the need for long-term plans for families
- Initiate court proceedings when necessary
- Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where each day is unique
- Provide empathetic support to families in crisis, who are newly referred to our services
Requirements:
- Social Work qualification
- At least 1 year of experience
- Newly Qualified Social Workers currently completing their ASYE are encouraged to apply
- Registration with Social Work Wales or eligibility to apply
- A passion for achieving the best outcomes for children through direct work
- A creative and innovative approach
